Xiamen meteorological department and tourism sector jointly promote lightning protection safety in scenic area.

On August 21st, the Xiamen Meteorological Bureau and the Tourism Bureau took the lead in convening a special conference to promote the rectification of lightning protection potential safety hazards in tourist attractions. In the second round of large-scale investigation and rectification, there are still seven scenic spots in which lightning protection safety hazards have not been rectified. The seven spots were asked to rectify within a time limit after the interviews.

The Municipal Meteorological Bureau will implement the rectification situation one by one for the scenic spot units that have hidden dangers of lightning protection. The meeting requested that all relevant units should speed up the implementation according to their respective rectification plans, strengthen the reception and emergency response of lightning warning information, clarify the relevant responsible persons, improve and strictly abide by the precautions, and effectively implement the main responsibility of lightning protection.

On the 22nd, Zhang Yigong, deputy mayor of Xiamen City, instructed the inspection and rectification of seven enterprises that had not completed the rectification. In the next step, in accordance with the requirements of the municipal leadership, the Xiamen Meteorological Bureau will jointly carry out the third phase of lightning protection safety inspection, and further fulfill the department's lightning protection supervision responsibility, and urge all units to implement the lightning protection safety entity responsibility.
