The maximum discharge current can reach 40KA.So it can be used in the secondary protection for low-voltage distribution system.

Application and maintenance
TPS C40 is a Class II(C) over-voltage protector for lightning area of LPZ 1-2 area or higher interface, and commonly used for the sub-distribution box in building or used for UPS inlet wire. One or two types modules can constitute a combination such as 2P, 3P, 4P, 1P+N, 3P+N, etc, which can provide the transient overvoltage protection for TT, TN, IT, TN-S-C and TN-C-S system.
